We are seeking an Environmental Manager to support the Environment and Sustainability Manager and the wider construction site teams with the effective implementation of the environmental management system, including assisting with environmental planning, reviewing records and giving guidance on physical site environmental controls. This position can be based in our Wakefield or Warrington office with regional/national travel.

This position can be based in our Wakefield or Warrington office with regional/national travel.

What You’ll Do
Environmental Manager
- Assess and report on site environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives via our digitised reporting system
- Drive completeness and accuracy of records within our waste reporting system, both internally and in our supply chain
- Review the suitability and effectiveness of physical environmental control measures
- Support the ongoing review of site-level environmental plans, including aspects and impacts registers
- Provide assistance with environmental incident investigations
- Provide site teams with guidance on environmental legislation and other requirements
Skills and Experience
- Experience of environmental controls and management systems within the wider construction industry
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation
- Experience of working with an ISO 14001 certified management system
- Full UK driving licence (car allowance or car is available)
- CSCS card (desirable)
- Relevant degree or environmental qualification
- Articulate and confident communicator
