Compensation: £120,000 base + bonus (flexible; higher base for New York)

The Role
They are hiring for a Junior Quantitative Trader (entry-level to 1–2 years’ experience) to join a growing equity ETF trading team.
This is a front-office trading role focused on:
- Developing and refining mathematically driven trading strategies
- Applying statistical and probabilistic models to live market environments
- Analysing large data sets to identify inefficiencies and opportunities
- Working closely with traders, researchers, and technologists in a highly collaborative environment
- You will be given real responsibility early, with direct exposure to trading decisions and performance outcomes.
Candidate Profile
Required:
- A first class academic degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a closely related quantitative discipline from a top university
- Outstanding problem-solving ability
- Strong mathematical intuition and analytical reasoning skills
- Competitive mindset with a genuine enjoyment of strategic games (e.g., poker, chess, strategy video games, logic competitions, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Strongly Preferred:
- 1–2 years’ experience at a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or market-making firm OR
