As an Events Executive, you’ll underpin the day-to-day running of a busy Events team, managing the events calendar and supporting the Events Manager across a wide portfolio of activity. The focus of the role is on community-led events for Sales and Commercial, Loyalty, PR, People and Internal Communications, both in the UK and overseas.


You’ll act as the first point of contact for events queries across the business, owning events end to end, from shaping objectives and briefs through to concept development, production and delivery. This is a hands-on role that combines creativity, organisation and strong stakeholder management, playing a key part in bringing the Virgin Atlantic brand to life.

Please note: some out-of-hours and overseas work will be required.


Day to day


  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of events, including venue sourcing, planning, production and on-site delivery
  • Manage the events calendar and Support the Event Managers across multiple concurrent projects
  • Act as the first point of contact for all events queries across the business, advising stakeholders on next steps
  • Work with stakeholders to agree objectives, shape clear briefs and develop creative, on-brand event concepts
  • Deliver events that build community and reflect Virgin Atlantic’s high standards for creativity, innovation and value
  • Recommend, manage and track event budgets, ensuring effective cost control and value for money
  • Ensure events are delivered in line with health and safety, legal, insurance, procurement and contracting requirements
  • Manage external agencies, production partners and suppliers, ensuring delivery on time and to specification
  • Own Support the running of the company’s promotional crew programme, ensuring our people represent the brand brilliantly at every event and community touchpoint
  • Evaluate event success and effectiveness, using insight to improve future delivery and best practice

  • About you


    • Has demonstrable experience delivering events end to end, either client-side or agency-side
    • Has a strong understanding of the events landscape and enjoys developing creative event solutions
  • Is confident managing internal stakeholders and external agencies and suppliers
  • Brings strong project management skills and can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, including with senior stakeholders
  • Is highly organised, proactive and delivery-focused, with great attention to detail
  • Works collaboratively and builds positive relationships across diverse teams
  • Experience of delivering events internationally and managing budgets and suppliers across multiple projects.
