The Role

This role operates in a high-volume, time-sensitive aviation catering environment where equipment reliability, temperature control, and hygiene are critical. The role covers hot kitchens, cold prep areas, chilled/frozen storage, dispatch zones, plant rooms, and roof-mounted HVAC plant. You will be working with the Head of Maintenance, develop and implement maintenance procedures, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

You will monitor and maintain all machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition and coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs.

As a team you will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including regular safety inspections and troubleshoot equipment failures, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions promptly. It is important to keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory while preparing requests for the ordering of spare parts and materials as needed to support maintenance activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in maintenance management.
  • Ensure planned workorders are completed and signed off on time.
  • You will make sure critical Spares are identified and stock organised with appropriate stock levels.
  • Reactive maintenance logged and recorded on Centralised Maintenance System 100% of Daily checks conducted and records updated.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in Maintenance, preferably in food industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Technical knowledge of machinery and equipment.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management software.
