Family Help Lead Practitioner - 05712

West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Help Lead Practitioner to join our Education Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a key role, providing support and guidance to families in need, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality family help services.

About The Role

As the Family Help Lead Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and coordinating the delivery of family help services, ensuring the needs of families are met
• Working directly with families to provide practical and emotional support, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes
• Conducting assessments and reviews, identifying the specific needs of each family
• Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through participation in evaluation and feedback processes
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Experience working in a family support role, with a solid understanding of the challenges faced by families

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both families and colleagues

Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to identify needs and implement appropriate support plans

Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in family support

A positive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
