Main duties of the job
Our Foot and Ankle fellowship post has been recognised by BOFAS as a high quality senior fellow post aimed at developing subspecialist skills and preparing our fellows for a consultant career in Foot and Ankle Surgery. There are currently four Orthopaedic Surgeons specialising in foot and ankle surgery. Four (Mr Stephen Bendall, Mr Joel Vernois, Ms Natasha Hossain and Mr Tom Voller) specialise mainly in Elective adult foot and ankle pathology plus several trauma surgeons with a sub specialist interest in foot and ankle.

The post holder will be closely supervised in outpatients and in the operating theatre. Ideally the first 6 months will be spent between Trauma and doing open surgery whilst the second 6 months will include more minimally invasive work with Mr Vernois.
