To support our growing customer base in UK and Europe, we are now looking for a
Field Service Technician to join our European service team.
The Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will work directly at customer sites, carrying out installation support, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and repair of Fike’s explosion protection and safety systems. This role suits a
practical, electrically skilled technician who enjoys working independently, travelling frequently, and solving technical problems on-site.
You will mainly work across UK, with occasional assignments in other EU countries. When not travelling, administrative tasks and reporting are performed from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of explosion venting, suppression, and isolation systems
- Electrical installation checks, testing, and fault-finding on control panels, sensors, cabling, and safety devices
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions
- Perform site inspections and ensure systems meet safety and regulatory requirements
- Provide professional on-site support and clear technical explanations to customers
- Complete service reports, checklists, and documentation accurately and on time
- Plan and manage your own daily work and travel activities
