The role: Finance Business Partner

This is your opportunity to step into a high‑profile, strategic role where you’ll influence decisions at the heart of our business. As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll be the trusted adviser who brings insight, challenge and clarity helping leaders make confident, commercially sound choices.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting as a strategic finance partner, providing analysis, insight and challenge to drive performance
• Leading performance reporting, including KPIs, variance analysis and cost‑optimisation insights
• Supporting commercial decisions across contracts and third‑party spend

Resilient, collaborative and committed to continuous improvement

Understanding of operational performance metrics, KPIs and financial/operational systems

Knowledge of UU’s regulatory environment (or the ability to learn quickly)

What You’ll Bring

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post‑qualification experience

• Strong ability to challenge, influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
• Commercial mindset with a track record of driving strategic financial debate
• Excellent analytical skills able to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Experience in planning, budgeting and target setting within a large, complex organisation
• Comfortable navigating a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities
• Resilient, collaborative and committed to continuous improvement
• Understanding of operational performance metrics, KPIs and financial/operational systems
