Description

We are looking for a senior operational finance leader for the UK & Benelux region. A commercially driven Finance Controller who acts as the regional finance authority and true sparring partner to the Regional Manager and key stakeholders.

This is not a transactional accounting role.

This is not a passive month-end reviewer.

This is a visible regional finance leadership position with accountability for financial integrity, performance steering and commercial insight in a transforming and complex environment. The right candidate will see this complexity as an opportunity to shape finance governance and business impact.

Your role

Act as the senior operational finance lead for UK & Benelux
Serve as commercial sparring partner to the Regional Manager
Operate as the regional finance authority accountable for quality, integrity and insight
Own operational commercial controlling across the region
Lead month-end and quarter-end processes with full accountability for financial accuracy and transparency

Drive forward-looking forecasting, scenario modelling and performance analysis

Translate financial data into clear business implications and action points

Challenge revenue, margin and cost assumptions constructively

Steer performance with a strong P&L focus

Operate confidently within a transforming company structure

Functionally coordinate Country Controllers (no disciplinary leadership)

Engage effectively with multi-layered stakeholders across Region, Division and our Sales & Service Excellence Organisation

Your profile

Qualified Accountant (mandatory)
Several years of post-qualification experience
Proven industry background (manufacturing, distribution, FMCG or similarly operational environments strongly preferred)
Strong experience in complex, multi-entity and matrix organisations
Deep understanding of P&L drivers and performance mechanics
Strong forward-looking forecasting capability
Controller mindset with commercial orientation (not a financial reporting specialist)
Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders with confidence

Independent judgement, resilience and executive presence

Hands-on where required, without being clerical

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and transformation

High energy combined with business maturity

IFRS knowledge required; SAP beneficial

Working Model

Hybrid with regular presence required in Milton Keynes
UK travel as needed
Quarterly (or as required) travel to Netherlands/Benelux
Occasional broader European travel
