As a Finance Manager, this role blends core financial accounting, driving control and process improvements along with grant accounting - offering the chance to take a key role in helping build robust, scalable finance processes while gaining broad exposure across a growing finance function.

Your Profile
- You're a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) who's built progressive experience in practice or a commercial finance team, with knowledge of month-end close processes and detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
- You've supported internal and external audits, worked confidently with IFRS, and have the skills to help drive a strong internal controls environment
- Experience with finance systems such as NetSuite, macros or advanced data handling is a plus, particularly if you've worked with technology or R&D-driven businesses. At OQC, these skills help finance play a critical role in supporting innovation, growth and long-term impact
- You'll be confident working in Excel, using tools like pivot tables, lookups and scenario analysis to build and improve models that support clear, reliable reporting.
- Raise the bar on controls and processes by documenting, improving and future-proofing the finance processes, controls and policies, contributing to a strong control environment that can grow with the company
- Shape how finance works at scale and support system and process improvements, helping design and implement new ways of working as technology, complexity and ambition increase
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close, owning critical journals and helping shape a disciplined, well-run close process as the business scales
- Build confidence in the balance sheet by taking ownership of key reconciliations, digging into detail, strengthening controls, and partnering with the Group Financial Controller to evolve smarter, more robust approaches
