Finance Manager (RTR)

Entertainment Sector | Manchester

£70k–£90k + Bonus | Hybrid (1 to 2 Days A Week)

12-Month FTC

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Record‑to‑Report specialist to step into a leadership role within a major organisation in the entertainment sector. This position offers the chance to shape core accounting processes, drive digital transformation, and lead a high‑performing team within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.

My client is a leading entertainment business undergoing significant finance transformation. They are looking to appoint an Finance Manager (RTR - Core Accounting) to oversee the delivery of best‑practice accounting processes, champion automation, and ensure the accurate and timely production of financial statements. This is an ideal next step for a qualified accountant with strong RTR experience who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

Leading, developing, and motivating the Core Accounting team
Ensuring core accounting processes are consistent, compliant, efficient, and fully documented

Overseeing timely and accurate accounting entries with strong governance and controls

Driving automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement across RTR

Supporting ERP SaaS release testing and system enhancements (Oracle Fusion)

Collaborating with external auditors and providing required documentation

Working closely with other Finance Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Managing team performance, development, and engagement

Supporting wider RTR initiatives and contributing to a cohesive management team

Your Background:

You will be a qualified accountant (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with:

Strong experience in RTR and core accounting processes
A digital mindset and enthusiasm for automation and systems solutions
Experience managing teams within a transactional finance or shared service environment
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
The ability to work accurately under pressure and adapt to change
A collaborative, resilient approach and a commitment to continuous improvement

Experience with Oracle Fusion and exposure to finance transformation or Agile methodologies would be advantageous but not essential

Package:

£70,000 – £90,000 depending on experience
10% bonus max (5% on target)
