Financial Controller | Music SME | London / Hybrid
As Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of the finance function, working closely with the Finance Director to ensure robust controls, accurate reporting, and efficient processes across the group. You will manage day-to-day finance operations, support project teams on budgetary matters, and provide meaningful financial insight to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the accounting function across the group with the support of an outsourced finance team
- Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts, delivering timely and accurate reporting to leadership
- Own cash flow forecasting, with rolling projections to support strategic decision-making
- Manage VAT returns and maintain forward VAT planning, alongside liaison with external advisors on tax credit opportunities
- Manage inter-company accounting and cross-border transactions across the group's international entities
- Support and advise producers and project teams on budgets, payment schedules, and commercial risk
- Drive project margin control, identify efficiencies and learnings
What We Need to See (Essential)
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager
- Experience in media, music, or entertainment
- Strong technical accounting skills with commercial awareness
Package
Salary: £60,000-£65,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid (very flexible, London-based)
