The Firecraft Lead Instructor provides specialist leadership, guidance, and high quality instructional delivery on a range of Firecraft courses. This role does not include line management, but instead focuses on leading by example, setting professional and behavioural standards, and developing less experienced instructors through mentoring, coaching, modelling best practice, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Lead by example in instructional delivery while supporting and guiding other instructors.
- Provide mentorship, reassurance, and subject‑matter leadership during routine and high‑risk training.
About you
- Significant experience delivering firefighting or emergency services training within a structured, uniformed environment.
- Experience leading or coordinating operational incidents, with sound working knowledge of the Fire Service Incident Command System.
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification (AET Level 3 minimum) and assessor qualification(s).
