Food Service Dietitian – Compass Group UK

Location: Hybrid with national travel

Contract: Full‑time

Are you a passionate, HCPC‑registered Dietitian looking to make a real impact on patient care across our Healthcare sector? Join Compass Group UK as a Food Service Dietitian, where you’ll play a key role in shaping safe, nutritious and enjoyable meals for thousands of patients every day.

Working as part of our Healthcare Dietetic Team and reporting to the Head of Dietetics, you’ll support acute, community and mental health hospitals across our Medirest portfolio. You’ll influence menu development, lead on nutritional standards, support contract mobilisations and work closely with culinary, operational and business development teams to drive outstanding food services across our sites.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, review and improve menus and recipes to meet diverse patient dietary needs.
  • Work with chefs and operational leads to produce nutritionally compliant, cost‑effective meals.
  • Analyse menus using nutrition software and advise on allergens, IDDSI and therapeutic diets.
  • Participate in audits, gather feedback and recommend improvements to meal services.
  • Support new business tenders and mobilisations with expert dietetic and nutritional guidance.
  • Deliver engaging training to catering and healthcare teams across our sites.
  • Develop protocols, mealtime initiatives and specialist diet policies.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with legislation and ensure full compliance across all contracts.


  • What We’re Looking For

    • HCPC‑Registered Dietitian with a recognised Dietetics/Nutrition qualification.
    • Experience working with patients in hospitals, community services, care homes or other health settings.
    • Background as a Food Service Dietitian or experience working closely with catering teams.
    • Strong skills in menu analysis, recipe development and therapeutic diet planning.
    • Confident communicator who can deliver training and influence operational teams.
    • Motivated, collaborative, adaptable and passionate about improving patient nutrition.
    • Comfortable with regular national travel.
