As part of a global FMCG leader powered by 25,000 innovative minds, you’ll work hands‑on with cutting-edge formulations, advanced development-scale equipment, and precise testing methods that push our ideas from concept to reality.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, love solving complex challenges, and enjoy turning ideas into impactful solutions, this is your opportunity to make a real difference. Bring your energy, creativity, and team‑building strengths to a place where your contributions don’t just count - they drive our innovation forward.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Prepare and test samples of various formulation types (e.g., slurries, liquids, granules, powders) using development scale equipment, and perform detailed physical/analytical assessments to determine their acceptability.
  • Prepare prototypes for analytical, sensory, employee panel, or consumer study assessments.
  • Support various categories by contributing ideas and opinions in project discussions and team meetings.
  • Raise COSHH and risk assessments for new materials and processes before starting any work.
  • Conduct larger pilot production studies to prepare for full-scale manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement test methods to support formulation and prototype assessments.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Basic qualification in chemistry/engineering (HNC or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in liquids formulation, processing, filling, and characterization.
  • Experience in soft solids formulation and processing (e.g., extrusion, casting).
  • Strong skills in time management, report writing, and teamwork.
  • Ability to break down activities into achievable tasks and provide effective solutions.
  • Drive for learning and continuous improvement, with openness to new ideas and techniques.

  • What We Offer

In return for playing your part in building our future, you will receive a comprehensive compensation package with salary, bonus scheme and further benefits as well inspiring places to work and collaborate with purpose. Here at Imperial, we will give you the opportunity to grow and learn, innovate at pace and be a part of our purpose to forge a path to a healthier future for moments of relaxation and pleasure for our consumers.
