We currently have a temporary vacancy for a Fostering Support Officer in the recruitment and assessment team. You will make a real difference by supporting supervising social workers whose role is to assess and recruit foster carers as well as to support the retention of foster carers by organising fostering events for our fostering community.

The role has a number of administration functions which includes, supporting the Foster For East Midlands application process to become foster carers, inputting information onto Mosaic, undertaking social media and DBS checks.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for writing social media posts, profiles and event information including invites. Therefore, you will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A further function of the role is event planning where you will need to plan, coordinate and deliver at least 4 high profile fostering events for key stakeholders. This will include managing the logistics such as the venues, vendors, materials, payments and risk assessments.

Excel, and Microsoft forms are used to manage our invites, RSVPs bookings and Event feedback questionnaires as well as other management statistics. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to have strong ICT skills in particular in the use of excel which includes the use of complex formulas, conditional formatting and pivot tables. As well as be proficient in the use of social media accounts, SharePoint and website changes.

A driving license will also be advantageous due to the nature of the post as you will need to view venues and attend events you have organized as well as undertaking DBS checks. There will also be some occasional work outside of office hours so you will need to be flexible.

The base will be Meadow House although there is currently the option for hybrid working.
