The Role
We are looking for various levels of FPGA Engineers to join our collaborative Control Systems team.
You will be responsible for designing the "nervous system" of our quantum computer, the FPGA-based hardware that generates the ultra-precise microwave pulses required to control qubits.
This role is about solving complex engineering problems to deliver high-performance, reprogrammable solutions with sub-nanosecond timing precision and low-error deterministic outputs.

You'll design, build, and test performance-critical FPGA hardware, taking ownership of subsystems or larger system-wide projects.

- Design & Own: Create FPGA solutions for quantum control systems that handle complex signal generation
- Lead complex, system-wide projects and own architectural decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews
- Influence supplier selection, component quality, and the long-term hardware roadmap
We value strong fundamentals, technical curiosity, and a passion for challenging hardware problems.
Core Experience:
- Languages: Expert-level development in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and/or VHDL
- Technical Rigor: Proven track record in testing, verification, and achieving timing closure
- Systems: Experience with performance-critical or low-latency systems
- Hardware: Comfort with hands-on debugging and multidisciplinary collaboration
