Band 5 Salary Range £34,544 £43,039 per annum**
Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro rata)
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer to join NHS Shetland’s Information Governance team. You will manage the daytoday handling of FOI and Environmental Information requests, providing clear, accurate and legally compliant responses within statutory timescales.
Working closely with services across the organisation, you will help identify information, apply exemptions appropriately and support staff to meet their responsibilities. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly. This is an opportunity to contribute to transparency, accountability and good governance across NHS Shetland.

- From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
