Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Front End Developer for one our leading clients in the Technology space, that will focus on optimising performance and scaling a security controller platform, that supports millions of devices. The controller aggregates threat telemetry and provides device protection and traceability. This is a hands-on front-end development role focused on building scalable, accessible, and secure interfaces for a complex web-based product. You’ll work on multiple React-based front ends, ensuring consistency across the platform. Projects include implementing EN301 accessibility standards, developing UI for device management and key management systems, and contributing to new features without detailed specs, often starting from whiteboard sketches or FigJam mock-ups. You’ll be expected to take initiative, think creatively, and collaborate closely with other teams, including those working on Azure and backend services. Each sprint is split between maintaining existing components and developing new ones, with a strong emphasis on quality, usability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and building new user interfaces

• Maintaining and improving existing UI components

• Enhancing test infrastructure and build systems

• Collaborating with backend developers to shape API design

• Contributing to accessibility improvements and legal compliance features

• Supporting device configuration, key management, and authentication workflows

Must haves:

  • Hands‑on front‑end development experience, working on large‑scale or enterprise web applications
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, with experience building and maintaining reusable UI components
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, with the ability to translate designs into clean, accessible and high‑quality user interfaces
  • Practical experience delivering work that meets accessibility standards
  • Experience working on complex system‑driven UIs
  • Comfortable contributing to new features with limited or evolving requirements, often starting from whiteboard sessions, FigJam mock‑ups, or high‑level concepts

  • Plusses:

    • Practical experience with TypeScript, Vue.js, Sass, and Webpack
    • Familiarity with Python/Django and cloud environments such as AWS
    • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including backend and Azure/KMS teams
    • Background in maintaining long-lived, complex front-end codebases
    • EN301, WCAG Accessibility Standard Experience
