Investigo are partnering with a growing investment platform managing multiple private market vehicles. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to appoint a Fund Accountant to take ownership of fund operations and oversee key third-party service providers across their structures.
Role Overview
The Fund Accountant will take responsibility for oversight of all fund administration activities. Acting as the central point of coordination between the business and external administrators, auditors, tax advisers and legal counsel, this individual will ensure strong governance, accurate reporting and efficient operational processes.
This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of technical fund knowledge, operational oversight and stakeholder management. Responsibilities to include:
Fund Administration Oversight
- Oversee third-party administrators to ensure timely and accurate NAV production, capital account statements and financial reporting.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared under relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS).
- Manage capital call and distribution processes, including investor communications and reconciliations.
Governance & Controls
- Maintain robust internal controls across fund operations.
- Support standardisation of processes across multiple vehicles and structures.
- Maintain statutory records and investor documentation.
- Coordinate annual audits and act as primary point of contact for auditors.
Investor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Oversee preparation of periodic investor reporting.
- Respond to operational queries from investors and internal stakeholders.
- Support operational aspects of fundraising and new vehicle launches.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate tax and regulatory filings with external advisers.
- Support governance reporting to senior leadership and relevant committees.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Review and enhance fund administration systems and reporting processes.
Candidate Profile
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience within fund administration, fund operations or fund accounting in a private markets environment.
- Experience overseeing external administrators and managing audit processes.
- Strong understanding of closed-ended fund structures.
- Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements for alternative investment structures.
- Advanced Excel and strong reporting systems capability.
- Confident stakeholder manager with strong organisational skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a growing platform environment.
