About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Street Lighting Operative to join our team delivering street lighting services across Lincolnshire County.
This is a permanent, site-based position located at our Willingham Woods Depot, covering all of Lincolnshire. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the county’s street lighting infrastructure, working both independently and as part of a team. What you'll be doing
Your Accountabilities Will Be As Follows
We are seeking an enthusiastic Street Lighting Operative to join our team delivering street lighting services across Lincolnshire County.
This is a permanent, site-based position located at our Willingham Woods Depot, covering all of Lincolnshire. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the county’s street lighting infrastructure, working both independently and as part of a team. What you'll be doing
Your Accountabilities Will Be As Follows
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining street lighting assets, including columns, lanterns, LED replacements, beacons, lamps, brackets, underground SWA cables, illuminated bollards, illuminated signs, feeder pillars, and subway lights.
- Working predominantly alone, with occasional team-based tasks.
- Painting various street furniture.
- Carrying out ground excavations and reinstatement for installation works.
- Conducting dynamic risk assessments.
- Taking responsibility for company property, equipment, and vehicles.
You Will Have The Following
- You have a full, clean UK driving licence.
- You are competent in street lighting operations, with knowledge of fault-finding, repairs, and general maintenance.
- You’re comfortable using basic IT (a tablet device will be provided for site works).
- You’re willing to undertake training to achieve required competencies, including HEA Portfolio, First Aid, Manual Handling, ECS test, CSC/NPORS red card, NRSWA, IPAF 1b + Harness & Fall Arrest, G39 + 214 Safe Isolation, ESSW, 302.1 (12D) Traffic Management, 204.1 Abrasive Wheels, and an understanding of Sign Lighting & Guarding.
- An electrical testing qualification or experience would be beneficial.
