You will be joining the Ceph engineering team, where you will develop your software engineering and problem-solving skills while learning new technologies and working with mentors and teams within the Storage organisation. The team has commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce, where different thinking styles are valued for the strength and innovation they bring to teams.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Develop code and solutions using the latest enterprise-level tools.
  • Collaborate with a squad of 6-8 engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain high quality software for which you feel a strong sense of ownership.
  • Use technologies and industry-standard tools such as C/C++, Python, Git, Linux, Container technologies
  • Learn from our team of 100+ Storage developers in Hursley, plus hundreds more worldwide, to become an expert in our product.
  • Work onsite in Hursley at least three days a week, and additionally as needed for team collaboration.

We Are Looking For These Attributes In Our Engineers

Passion for software engineering, which can be shown from experience in professional projects, experience from education projects or experience from projects completed in your personal time.

Ability to solve problems alone and as part of a team.

Effective communication skills to explain technical problems and solutions to other engineers.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

We look for individuals with a passion for technology. You may have hands on experience, a certification, badge or relevant work experience.

  • Expected locations: Winchester
  • Degree minimum 2:1
  • Positions require flexibility on travel to IBM and client sites. IBMers are expected to work at least 3 days a week in the office.
