Graduate Civil Engineer

Key Accountabilities

• Understand and comply with Company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Sustainability Systems and Policies
• Provide assistance to the Site Engineers in the accurate setting out and control of the works, taking every opportunity to undertake setting out under the supervision of their Section/Senior Engineer
• Gain experience of Company HSEQ systems and participate in tasks that are described
• Gain experience in materials sampling and testing
• Any other duties assigned by your line manager for the benefit of the site
  
  

Key Objectives

• Undertaking Instrument checks on setting out equipment and maintaining records of such checks
• Maintaining drawing registers
• Setting out the works
• Maintaining as built record drawing of the completed works
• Maintaining records of labour, plant and materials used in the works
• Undertaking material reconciliations

Reading and understanding method statements

Checking material deliveries for compliance with contract requirements

Carrying out material sampling

About You

• A degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related discipline),
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Proactive, reliable, and keen to develop professionally
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, standards, and best practices
• Awareness of health, safety, and quality requirements within an engineering environment
• Full UK Driving License - as there may be a requirement to travel to other sites or offices
