Description

Overview:

Overseeing the due diligence review of all AR/IAR firms within the UK&I Retail Pillar to meet regulatory expectations.

Liaising directly with stakeholders to discuss and investigate questions arising from due diligence.

Input into the overall compliance report/annual report to Board, drafting relevant sections, and ensuring that any questions or required actions are flagged.

Collation and analysis of data and management information arising from oversight actions.

Driving forward the completion of agreed oversight recommendations, helping to ensure that all businesses meet common standards.

Accurate maintenance of records and filing systems.

Knowledge:

  • Awareness of the FCA as a regulatory body for the UK insurance sector.
  • Fundamental understanding of insurance and roles in the distribution chain.
  • Fundamental understanding of Appointed Representatives and their role within the insurance distribution chain.

Skills:

  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing regulatory standards.
  • Ability to write concise and impactful reports.
  • Excellent investigative skills, with an ability to accurately analyse information.
  • Excellent communicative skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and distil and analyse relevant information.
  • Ability to have direct interaction with stakeholders from different business areas.
