The office is always alive with activity as it houses a 65-strong team consisting of mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, geotechnical and support teams. The office’s open plan kitchen and staff break out area often plays host to our team’s socialising time, whether it’s over a morning coffee, lunch or after work unwind.
Purpose
You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who is keen to build on your engineering knowledge and develop your analytical abilities as well as your design and drawing skills as part of the structural and civil engineering team.
The position requires good communication skills and to develop and maintain good relationships with your colleagues, technicians and external parties. You will be representing Harley Haddow through direct contact with clients and other design team members on the projects you will contribute to.
Your responsibilities will include input to the delivery of the Structural and Civil Engineering designs on assigned projects by assisting department staff by developing designs, calculations, preparation of drafting work and administerial tasks.
You will learn by assisting engineers on projects and will be mentored by Principal and Senior Engineers, but will take ownership for the designs and development of your work.
You will be encouraged to attend lectures, seminars and other relevant industry functions as well as training courses with prior approval of the Departmental Director in order to progress you’re learning and career goals.
