Group Financial Controller required for a high-growth, owner-managed Software business (Central London – office-based 5 days per week)
£90,000 – £110,000 + discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package, depending on experience

A high-growth, owner-managed Software business with an expanding international footprint is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join its senior finance leadership team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad and hands-on role with full ownership of the group month-end process, statutory reporting, audit management and the continuous improvement of financial controls and processes. The business is scaling rapidly, making this an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys building structure in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You’ll be joining an ambitious, commercially driven organisation where finance plays a central role in supporting strategic growth.
Key Requirements:
• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with significant post-qualified experience
• Strong technical accounting background, ideally with an audit foundation
• Experience within a Software, SaaS or technology-led business preferred
• Proven ownership of group month-end and consolidated reporting
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory accounting and financial reporting standards
• Experience managing year-end audit processes and external auditor relationships
• Track record of improving financial controls, governance and reporting processes
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced growth environment
• Strong systems capability and experience working with modern finance ERP platforms
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the group month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated reporting
• Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and performance analysis
• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with UK reporting requirements
• Manage the year-end audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors
• Strengthen and enhance financial controls, policies and governance frameworks
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting efficiencies
• Ensure balance sheet integrity and robust reconciliation processes
• Support cash flow reporting and working capital oversight
• Partner with the CFO on strategic projects, system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives
• Support future growth initiatives including international expansion and structural development
