The Role
We are seeking an experienced security leader to bring their expertise in security management, safeguarding, risk and operational leadership to one of the largest college groups in the UK.
Working across multiple campuses, you will support a diverse college community and help ensure our campuses remain safe, secure and welcoming environments for students, staff and visitors.
As the College’s principal security adviser, you will lead on security strategy, risk management, emergency planning, business continuity and the development of policies, standards and systems. You will set direction, provide assurance on the effectiveness of security arrangements and support operational teams to deliver consistent, high-quality security services across all campuses.

You are an experienced senior security, risk or resilience professional with the credibility to advise at leadership level and the practical judgement to support operational teams when needed.
You bring significant experience of developing security strategies, managing risk, overseeing complex incidents and improving security arrangements in a multi-site or complex environment. You understand physical security systems, emergency planning, business continuity, safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and partnership working.
Analytical, calm under pressure and confident in your decision making, you communicate clearly, influence effectively and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, operational colleagues and external agencies. You are professionally credible, highly organised and committed to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming College environment for all.
