Aptia Group have a brand new opportunity for a Group Tax manager to join our busy UK Finance team.
Reporting to the Deputy CFO you will lead our tax agenda across the UK and internationally.
This is an opportunity to step into a lean, ambitious in house function where your role will have key impact. You will manage compliance, shape tax strategy, and work closely with Finance, Legal, HR and Commercial teams to ensure tax is embedded in every core activity.
This is a hybrid role aligned with our London offices (3 days in office).
You will be hands on across:
* Corporation tax compliance and reporting
* VAT, IPT and payroll tax oversight
* Tax accounting under FRS 102
* Transfer pricing, intercompany and cross border matters
* US compliance (outsourced)
* Tax governance, HMRC engagement & risk management
* Supporting M&A, restructurings and commercial deals
* Process improvement, systems, and tax technology
* Training teams and elevating tax awareness across the business
You will also act as our trusted adviser internally and manage relationships with top-tier external tax advisers.
If this sounds like your ideal next step, here is what we're looking for:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA (or equivalent)
- 4-8 years' corporate tax experience
- Experience in a PE‑backed, fast‑growth, financial services or professional services environment
- Strong UK tax technical grounding and comfort owning issues end‑to‑end
- Experience with tax accounting, indirect taxes and (ideally) transfer pricing
- Pragmatic, commercially minded judgement
- Confidence influencing non‑tax stakeholders
- A proactive, hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach
