Description

Where Growth has no Leash

Zigzag is the #1 app for dog training & life skills, helping pups and their pawrents build a lifelong bond. Too many dogs miss out on the right training, leading to behavioural issues or even abandonment. Our mission is to prevent that by making puppy training accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

We’ve been featured as Apple’s App of the Day, highlighted in New Apps We Love, and shortlisted for multiple industry awards. Backed by a major global petcare organisation (Purina), we’re a growing product-led company with big ambitions and a close-knit team.

What we are looking for

With ambitious plans to scale across multiple international markets, this is a high-impact opportunity for a hands on user acquisition expert. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Lead to shape acquisition strategy, scale our paid channels globally, and build a strong experimentation approach to drive meaningful growth.

This is a key role within our award-winning growth marketing team, with full ownership of paid user acquisition performance. You’ll have the autonomy to test, learn, and scale, with a strong focus on continuous optimisation across our core performance marketing channels. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys turning data, creative thinking, and insight into measurable growth outcomes.

What you'll be doing

Acquisition Strategy and Execution

  • Work closely with our Marketing Lead to devise and execute compelling user growth strategies.
  • Own and scale paid acquisition campaigns across Google UAC, Google Search, Apple Search Ads, Meta, TikTok, and emerging channels.
  • Successfully deploy a 7-figure performance marketing budget
  • Take responsibility for paid performance: CAC efficiency, and contribution to overall user growth.
  • Sustainably scale our puppy owner audience across the US, UK and Europe, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end user experience.
  • Creative Strategy & Testing

    • Build and run structured experimentation programmes (A/B tests, creative testing, landing page optimisation, and incrementality testing).
    • Deeply understand our core target audience to successfully create engaging and original content for key channels.
    • Identify, source, and manage influencer and creator partnerships to support scalable acquisition.

    Data, Analytics & Optimisation

    • Evaluate performance against our core KPIs and identify opportunities for optimisation.
    • Monitor, analyse, and report on performance across channels, identifying actionable insights and optimisation opportunities.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g analytics, CRM) to align on attribution frameworks, MMP measurement, audience strategy.
    • Share recommendations on best practices for tracking and attribution, particularly within the app ecosystem.
    • Continuously refine channel mix and strategy based on performance data, market trends, and experimentation outcomes.

    You are

    • 2+ years experience with proven expertise in paid acquisition across Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, TikTok, mDSPs and similar.
    • A genuine passion for dogs and our mission - even better if you’re a proud puppy parent.
    • Experience in mobile app growth preferable
    • Hands-on experience with mobile attribution and analytics tools such as AppsFlyer, Adjust or similar.
    • Strong understanding of ASO and App Store / Play Store growth levers on ASA.
    • Expertise managing international accounts across multiple markets.
    • Deep familiarity with experimentation-led growth and performance optimisation.
    • Strong analytical skills, with experience working with cohort analysis, funnel performance, and key growth metrics, using analytical tools (e.g Lightdash, Mixpanel or similar).
  • Experience working with OKRs and North Star metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of data privacy changes impacting growth (SKAN, Privacy Sandbox, cookie deprecation).
  • A continuous learning mindset and drive to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Someone with a bias for action and confidence to move quickly in reaction to an increasingly competitive market.
