A fast-growing UK AI SaaS company is building the next generation of AI-powered digital sales assistants used by large enterprise organisations. Their platform combines machine learning, generative AI and conversational interfaces to help customers navigate complex purchasing decisions online.
The business already has a mature product in market and a growing pipeline of enterprise clients. As the company becomes increasingly AI-first, they are hiring a Head of AI to lead the next stage of their platform’s development.
This is a leadership role with meaningful technical ownership. You will lead a small team of data scientists and ML engineers while continuing to work hands-on with modern AI systems, shaping the roadmap for how AI capabilities evolve within the product.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the company’s AI strategy aligned with product and business goals
• Manage and mentor a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers
• Improve and scale existing ML and GenAI systems powering the product
• Build and optimise LLM workflows, RAG pipelines and agentic systems
• Drive adoption of modern MLOps and ML lifecycle practices
• Collaborate with product, engineering and commercial stakeholders
• Remain hands-on with Python-based ML development

• Working model: Hybrid (1 day per week in Brighton)
