Role Overview:

The Head of Construction Assistant supports the Head of Construction in coordinating and overseeing construction activities across multiple sites and projects. This role plays a key part in planning, monitoring progress, managing documentation, and ensuring effective communication between project teams, site management, and subcontractors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Construction in the delivery of multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Assist with construction planning, scheduling, and programme tracking.
  • Monitor site progress and prepare regular reports on timelines, milestones, and risks.
  • Coordinate communication between project managers, engineers, site teams, and subcontractors.
  • Track contractor and subcontractor performance against agreed deliverables.
  • Assist with managing interfaces between design, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Support cost tracking, variation management, and budget monitoring.
  • Ensure documentation, permits, and compliance records are maintained accurately.
  • Help identify potential risks or delays and escalate issues where required.
  • Attend project meetings and record actions, decisions, and follow-ups.

  • Key Requirements:

    • Experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination roles.
    • Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle.
    • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
    • Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
    • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
    • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
