The Head of Corporate Administration is accountable for the national delivery of corporate and workplace administration services within the Wealth business.
The role exists to ensure corporate clients, employers, schemes, and members receive consistent, high-quality, and compliant administration services, delivered at scale and with strong operational control. Corporate Administration operates as a standalone specialist BAU function within Wealth, aligned to corporate and workplace propositions and separate from private client-facing teams.
The function works in close partnership with specialist corporate consultants, supporting the effective delivery of advice and governance services across corporate propositions.
This role is open to external and Internal candidates - it is a full-time position - Monday to Friday. Based within Southwest England, with easy access to the Bristol and Stevenage Offices. Hybrid, 3 days a week working from the office, 2 can be home-based.
Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Set and own the national operating model for Corporate Administration, ensuring consistent delivery across all regions and service lines
Define service standards, controls, and performance expectations appropriate for a large-scale, specialist BAU function
Own end-to-end operational performance, capacity, and resilience of Corporate Administration
Ensure the function remains focused on BAU service excellence, with change activity adopted in a controlled manner
Service Delivery (Consultant-Aligned Corporate Services)
Employee engagement and workplace advice programmes
Ensure administration services directly support consultants in delivering:
Regulatory compliance
Effective governance outcomes
High-quality employer and member experiences
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant delivery across all corporate service lines
Ensure corporate invoicing and fee processing associated with administration services is accurate, timely, and appropriately controlled
People & Culture
Lead and develop Corporate Administration managers and team leaders aligned to each corporate specialism
Build deep technical capability within administration teams to support consultant-led propositions
Foster a national, joined-up culture focused on service quality, accountability, and professionalism
Ensure effective workforce planning to manage demand, seasonality, and client complexity
Stakeholder Management
Work in close partnership with corporate consultants across each specialist area, including:
Auto-enrolment
Group risk and healthcare
Corporate pension governance
Employee engagement and workplace advice
Ensure administration services are aligned to consultant-led delivery models and client expectations
Act as the senior escalation point for complex corporate administration issues affecting consultant delivery
Manage referral points and handoffs between Corporate Administration and other Wealth teams where required, while maintaining clear ownership boundaries
Build strong relationships with insurers, providers, and third-party administrators supporting corporate propositions
Governance, Compliance & Risk
Ensure corporate administration services operate in line with FCA requirements and internal governance frameworks applicable to corporate and workplace propositions
Embed TCF and conduct risk principles into BAU administration processes and controls
Own operational risk management for national corporate administration services
Ensure robust recordkeeping, audit trails, and evidence standards are maintained
Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams on incidents, breaches, and remediation activity
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Own service performance MI for Corporate Administration and use it to maintain control and stability of BAU delivery
Drive continuous, incremental improvements that enhance quality, reduce error rates, and improve consistency
Promote collaboration across corporate service lines to deliver joined-up outcomes for employers, members, and consultants
Ensure improvements support consultant delivery without introducing unnecessary operational risk.
Critical Knowledge
Corporate and workplace propositions, including:
Auto-enrolment and workplace pensions
Group risk and healthcare
Corporate pension governance
Employee engagement and workplace advice
FCA regulatory expectations relevant to corporate services and governance
National BAU service delivery models in regulated environments
Insurer, provider, and third-party administrator operating models
Critical Skills:
Proven leadership of national, specialist corporate administration functions
Strong ability to support consultant-led delivery models through high-quality administration
Excellent stakeholder management with consultants, insurers, and senior leaders
Strong service control, quality, and risk management capability
Ability to lead mature BAU teams delivering complex regulated services
Experience Required:
Significant experience leading corporate or workplace administration services at scale
Demonstrated ability to support consultant-led corporate propositions through operational delivery
Proven track record of delivering compliant, accurate, and resilient BAU services
Experience managing multi-specialism teams in regulated environments
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
Strong general education with demonstrable experience leading regulated corporate or workplace administration services
Evidence of senior operational leadership in a complex, multi-site or large-scale service environment
Desirable
Relevant CII or industry qualifications in:
