- Define and implement the business-wide credit control strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive a performance culture with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement
- Lead and inspire regional credit control managers, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Drive transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation, and compliance across all credit processes. Credit Risk & Policy Management:
- Establish and maintain credit policies and governance frameworks.
- Oversee credit risk assessment for major clients and strategic accounts.
- A professional qualification such as CICM or equivalent is highly desirable
- Proven track record of successfully managing a large credit control team within the accountancy or finance sector.
- In-depth knowledge of credit management, collections processes, and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in credit control software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and credit risk assessment skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to build rapport with Partners, diverse groups of Clients and your own team members.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
