To lead our Commercial team in the UK, we are looking for a Head of Discipline to join us. Working closely with the Head of Discipline for Project Management and Project Controls, you’ll oversee the financial and commercial aspects of our projects and business operations, ensuring their success and profitability.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Act as a visible leader, modelling inclusive, effective behaviours.
- Lead a professional group of approx. 10 people, with responsibility for commercial, professional and personal development.
- Produce and analyse progress reports, and work with project delivery teams to ensure updated forecasts are produced and reported in a timely manner.
- Implement the risk management process, review risk registers and check risk controls.
- Ensure a regular review of progress, budget resources and forward planning are carried out, and look ahead programmes are in place.
- Track scope changes and associated time and cost impacts and ensure contractual coverage is in place.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Ensure monthly project reporting timescales are met and collaborating with the UK Project Controls/ Finance team to ensure accurate month end reporting on various projects.

On top of that, you’ll have:
- Chartered status (MRICS or MICES or equivalent).
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience on complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience of the commercial management of projects in a civil engineering design consultancy or Main Contracting environment.
- In-depth working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
