As Head of IS Project Delivery, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery and quality of all IS project activity across Kuehne+Nagel’s Contract Logistics UK division. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres.

As Head of IS Project Delivery, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery and quality of all IS project activity across Kuehne+Nagel’s Contract Logistics UK division. Leading a portfolio that spans the full technology project lifecycle, you will drive a consistent delivery rhythm while ensuring excellence in execution. This role requires a leader who can confidently navigate complex, fast‑moving environments, balancing strategic foresight with disciplined operational control.

You will shape and steer the continual planning process, looking beyond individual projects to anticipate needs, mitigate risks, and align delivery with broader business priorities. Central to your success will be your ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across business sectors, identifying cross‑functional dependencies and co-ordinating seamless delivery. How you create impact

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the IS Project Management function, ensuring the performance, development, and engagement of all team members.
• Define and drive robust IS Project governance, leveraging standardised delivery frameworks, templates, and methodologies that consistently meet both business and customer expectations.
• Actively contribute throughout the entire project lifecycle, from early shaping of estimates and delivery roadmaps to implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Strong interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation coupled with strong leadership, analytical and technical skills.

Excellent communication and influencing skills to effectively manage project managers working across multiple implementations

Risk analysis and management, estimation, planning and decision analysis skills.

Knowledge of structured methodologies e.g. COBIT, TOGAF, ITIL

Understanding of business process re-engineering principles and processes.

Basic knowledge of financial models and Service Costings / Catalogue within ITIL Service Design.

Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new methodologies
