Head of Pharmacy Clinical Services

We are looking to recruit a senior pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy team at The Royal Marsden. These are really exciting times for the pharmacy team, with clinical developments across the Trust with pharmacy at the heart of many of them. A key part of the role will be to support the integration of prescribing pharmacists, and technicians with extended roles, across both our in patient and out patient services. We are seeking a pharmacist who can demonstrate great communication and leadership skills with the vision to enable The Royal Marsden to have a Clinical Pharmacy service that optimally uses all the pharmacy team.

• Lead the operational & strategic delivery of clinical pharmacy services across RM to ensure effective, safe and evidence based care.
• Oversee the coordination, optimisation and standardisation of clinical pharmacy services to deliver consistent pathways across all sites.
• Provide leadership to a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff, ensuring high quality, innovative clinical pharmacy practice.
• Contribute as a member of the senior pharmacy leadership team to drive cost efficiencies and service improvements across departments and systems.

Deputise for the Deputy Chief Pharmacist on clinical and staff management matters, representing Pharmacy at key internal and external clinical forums.

Lead the delivery of local, regional and national medicines optimisation projects, ensuring successful implementation through strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

Develop and support new models of care, including expanded roles for pharmacy staff.

Contribute to the development and delivery of the pharmacy research strategy.
