Senior Leadership Role
A leading global, privately owned real estate and construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Head of Planning to lead and develop its UK construction planning capability.
The business operates across real estate advisory, project management, cost consultancy, development consultancy and building consultancy services. With an integrated, principal-led model, it supports occupiers, investors and developers across the full property lifecycle — from strategy and acquisition through to delivery and asset optimisation. The construction consultancy arm is experiencing sustained growth and plays a key role in delivering complex, high-value development programmes across the UK.
The Role
This is a strategic and operational leadership role for a senior construction planner with deep expertise in Primavera P6 and project controls.
You will:
- Lead the national planning function across multiple live construction and fit out programmes
- Provide technical authority on complex P6 programmes and reporting structures
- Establish best practice planning standards, governance and assurance processes
- Oversee programme risk analysis, delay analysis and recovery strategies
- Support bid submissions with robust, deliverable programme solutions
- Act as the senior planning lead in client-facing environments
- Mentor and grow a team of planners across sectors and regions
Projects span commercial offices, residential developments, mixed-use schemes, healthcare, logistics and infrastructure-led regeneration.
About You
You will be a highly credible construction planning professional with:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Planner / Planning Lead on major projects
Experience within a consultancy environment or on large, complex contractor-led schemes is highly desirable.
