- Extensive experience of developing category management strategies and experience of working in a complex procurement environment
- Procurement team leadership and development, including objective-setting and ensuring high performance
- Ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally to bring complex matters to conclusion.
- Commercially astute with the ability to identify opportunities, build compelling cases for change and driving these through to successful delivery
- Education: Prefer CIPs and / or a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a relevant subject matter.

Location
The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on university premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. Procurement Services 'in-office days' are presently Wednesday and Thursday. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
