We are seeking an experienced and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team on a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover contract to start August 2026.
25 hours a week - 8am -1pm, Monday - Friday
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HCA who is confident in delivering high-quality patient care within a primary care setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the clinical team and ensuring patients receive efficient and professional care.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical team by:
Delivering safe and effective patient care under the supervision of practice nurses and GPs.
Conducting basic clinical procedures, such as venepuncture, ECGs, and health checks.
Assisting with the management of chronic disease reviews.
Supporting patients with lifestyle advice and preventative care.
Handling specimens and diagnostic testing as per clinical guidelines.
Maintaining infection control procedures and ensuring all clinical areas are well-stocked.
Accurately documenting clinical data and patient interactions in electronic records.
The role requires a proactive, caring, and professional approach to patient care, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
