Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Manchester or Liverpool
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a highly regarded national law firm within its established healthcare litigation team, based in either Manchester or Liverpool.
This is a chance to join a market-leading defendant clinical negligence practice acting on behalf of NHS Resolution and other healthcare providers. The team is known for handling high-value, complex and sensitive claims, offering high-quality work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
- You will manage your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters, whilst also assisting on more complex, high-value claims. The work will include:
- Handling a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to resolution
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and instructing counsel
- Attending conferences, mediations and court hearings
- Working closely with NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals
- Contributing to business development initiatives where appropriate
About You
Applications are welcomed from solicitors with defendant clinical negligence experience (NHSR experience advantageous but not essential). Candidates with claimant experience looking to transition to defendant work will also be considered.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong technical ability and attention to detail
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
