We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Technician/Engineer to join our Fleet Team to providing support to our Distribution Centres in Amesbury, Enfield and Treforest.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced and qualified Fleet Technician/Engineer who will work as part of the fleet team and be integral in ensuring that our vehicles are kept in a road worthy condition.
This role is field based covering our depot network to inspect the company owned HGV’s and Trailers on site. A key component of this role is ensuring compliance of the company’s obligations under the Operator Licence regulations.

About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

- The base location for this role is either Amesbury, Enfield or Treforest.
What you'll do
- Complete quality inspections on vehicles returning from PMI and MOT inspections.
- Complete OCRS audit inspection on every fleet vehicle within your depots over a 12 month period.
- Carry out minor defect repairs and mechanical repairs on site at our depots.
- Assisting depots with comprehensive driver vehicle check training.
- Keep up to date with new technologies, product knowledge, legislation and working procedures within the vehicle repair industry.
- Work as part of a small team of 4 engineers to provide a top class service to the depot management.
- Have a working knowledge of tail lifts, fridges and other ancillary equipment is desired but not essential.
About you
You will fit right into this role if:
- You’re experienced working in the commercial vehicle industry, with a recognised qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- You’re able to demonstrate your specialist knowledge and experience with MOT preparations and servicing of Mercedes and Scania 18 tonne rigid, 44 tonne tractor units and trailers of various configurations.
