Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Hiab Driver to operate a new truck and drag trailer based out of our Leeds depot. This role involves the safe loading, transport, and unloading of goods across the UK, with occasional trips to Ireland and other European countries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex deliveries and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle & Crane Operation: Safely drive and operate a truck-mounted crane (Hiab) with a drag trailer to transport heavy goods and materials.
- Loading & Securing: Calculate materials for safe loading/unloading and ensure all cargo is properly secured in accordance with transport regulations.
- International Travel: Execute deliveries and collections involving occasional trips to Ireland and Europe, requiring adaptability to different road systems.
- Maintenance & Safety: Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle and crane safety checks, reporting any defects promptly.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety, lifting, and company procedures, including strict compliance with tachograph and driver hours rules.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years proven experience operating a Hiab crane.
- Licensing: Must hold a full, clean C1E licence (allowing towing of trailers where the combined weight does not exceed 12,000kg).
- Certification: Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card are essential.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work away from home occasionally and travel internationally.
- References: Candidates must provide verifiable professional references.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work in various outdoor conditions.
Location: Leeds Depot & Some travel across UK, Ireland and Europe.
Expected Start Date: Immediate
