Overview
The HIL Validation Engineer is responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems to validate embedded control systems, primarily in automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications. This role ensures that software and hardware components function correctly under simulated real-world conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with HIL systems (e.g., dSPACE, NI, Vector tools)
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems and real-time control
- Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay)
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, C, CAPL, or similar)
- Understanding of automotive systems (powertrain, ADAS, body controls, etc.)
