About The Role And Our Ideal Candidate
Process Right to Buy applications, consult leaseholders on works/services, and liaise with stakeholders on all lease related matters.
What The Job Actually Requires
- Processing Right to Buy Applications
- Consulting leaseholders regarding planned maintenance and services
- Liaise with leaseholders regarding lease permissions and enforcement of lease terms
- Provide in-depth service charge financial information to leaseholders
- Answer queries from leaseholders on their rights and responsibilities
To be successful in the role of Home Ownership Officer, you will be able to demonstrate the following key points:
- Have a good general education or equivalent relevant experience
- Working knowledge of service charges, Right to Buy legislation and leasehold processes
- Maintain a professional knowledge of current leasehold and service charge legislation, guidance and best practice.
- Have excellent communication skills-, i.e., Communicating clearly, confidently and appropriately with residents, partners and colleagues using the best methods of communication

About The Team
We have approximately 1500 council leaseholders in Kingston. Our role is to help qualifying tenants become homeowners and support new and existing leaseholders with the lease specific aspects of property ownership, including consulting them on any planned works and services, and guiding them through the associated financial and legal responsibilities.
