As a Hospital Out of Hours Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective safe clinical care is delivered outside of normal working hours within Kings Mill Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strong clinical leadership within a multi-professional team. Offering advice, support, guidance, and education to nursing and Junior medical staff.
- Being a role model and expert practitioner.
- Responding to critical issues, Acute response and Cardiac Arrest calls as part of the Hospital Out of Hours team.
- Ensuring prompt support and effective clinical assessment/treatment.
- Developing advanced assessment skills and knowledge.
- Expanding professional practice in line with nursing professional codes.
- Undertaking procedures like cannulations, venepuncture, ABGs, catheterisation, and 12 lead ECG recordings.
- Prioritising workloads with the aid of Nerve Centre.
- Undertake audits, and support improvement projects
