Position Overview

An exciting new role within our HR team has opened up !

We are looking for our future HR Advisor. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will be in charge of supporting Lear’s Human Resources function at Alfreton by playing a key role in providing the business with an excellent HR solution. The role will incorporate a wide range of HR facets, including employee relations, learning and development, employee health and wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion, project work, and more. You will also take ownership of systems maintenance and data management with a requirement to report to senior leadership. The successful candidate will join a small but vibrant team of three people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Managers with the resolution of all employee relations matters
  • Drive employee engagement and wellbeing activities
  • Support EDI initiatives and help run events and awareness
  • Work closely with the Occupational Health Advisor and the Health, Safety and Environmental team to help facilitate employees returning to work
  • Willing and able to present to large groups, including training programs and initiatives
  • Manage and record HR KPIs required to uphold automotive industry standards. Present and discuss these with auditors
  • Complete employee onboarding, offboarding and induction processes , including employee records (SuccessFactors) and payroll information
  • Ensure probationary reviews are carried out in a timely manner
  • Advise employees on Company policy and guidelines
  • Play an integral role in redundancy processes
  • Liaise with ACAS and support legal processes
  • Letter writing and minute taking
  • Support Managers with the use of the HR Shared Service Centre
  • Help train and develop the HR Co-Ordinator
  • Raising of Purchase Orders for HR related items
  • Carry out efficiency projects within the department
  • Work closely with the payroll department to provide them with accurate and timely information
  • Maintenance of the employee records database (SuccessFactors)
  • Assist in employee onboarding process, including writing contracts, setting up new starters in HR systems and inducting new employees.
  • Maintenance of the Company’s time and attendance system (Kronos)
  • Support other Lear UK locations as required
  • Ensure that all manual and electronic data is managed in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

  • Key Skills And Qualifications

    • Level 5 CIPD certified
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in a HR Advisory Role, preferably the manufacturing or logistics sector
    • Previous customer service experience preferred
    • Excellent literacy skills essential
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and possess customer service skills
    • Able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
    • Good IT skills including Microsoft:
    • Word
    • Excel
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
