We have an excellent opportunity for an HR practitioner to join a collaborative and friendly team providing HR support for the authority’s managers, Schools, employees, and external customers.
The position is ideal for someone seeking a supportive working environment that will allow them to broaden their experience to build and establish a career in HR.
The role will see you deliver effective people solutions in line with customer needs and our People Strategy. You will support the review, development, and implementation of HR strategy and policy, including workforce design and provide high level specialist advice in respect of employee relations issues, including casework and associated activity.
What We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has a minimum of three years’ experience in providing HR support and advice and guidance to include extensive experience of the full range of complex casework.
- Relevant HR qualification or working towards MCIPD or equivalent
- Has experience of delivering HR services within a large complex organisation, preferably local government/public sector
- Has the ability to present reasoned arguments in relation to complex casework or organisational change matters and experience of working positively and constructively with the recognised trade unions.
- Be able to support with the review, development and implementation of HR strategy and policy including workforce planning and effectively deliver training.
What does the day to day look like?
- Working within a Hybrid model but office base at County Hall, West Bridgford.
- Providing general HR support and advice by working as part of the teams HR Help Desk to resolve initial queries.
- Working in conjunction with HR colleagues on a broad range of HR casework with a pragmatic and flexible approach.
