Salary: PO3/4 £42,751.17 - £48,771.12 (£45,746 - £52,187 FTE)
Location: Based in our Surrey region with occasional travel to other schools and our head office in Sutton.
Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, term time (39 weeks) + 3 weeks (42 weeks per year)
Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT) is a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery to further education. We operate across academies and college centres in London, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. Supporting our academies and college, OHC&AT also operates learning support services, such as nursing and therapy, and a central business support team which includes HR, finance and IT.
Pupils and students within the OHC&AT family have a wide range of learning abilities and additional needs. These include autistic spectrum disorder; speech, language and communication difficulties; social, emotional and mental health needs; profound and multiple learning disabilities; and physical disabilities including multi-sensory impairment and complex health conditions.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner
Key Responsibilities:
-Advise on complex HR cases with clear, risk-aware solutions
-Lead employee relations and support managers across the organisation
-Provide up-to-date HR guidance and assist with formal hearings
-Analyse HR data to drive performance improvements
-Manage complex HR issues, update policies, and lead key projects
Key Requirements:
-Solid HRBP experience, ideally with CIPD Level 5 or Chartered MCIPD
-Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence and build relationships
-Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
-Analytical, detail-focused, and a confident problem solver
-Excellent written communication and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
