The Vacancy

Are you a passionate facilitator who loves face-to-face delivery, enjoys travel, and wants to make a genuine impact within an organisation? Then we have the opportunity for you.

We are looking for an experienced in-house trainer to deliver engaging, high-quality management training across our manufacturing sites. As we build new content for our management population, one of the key focus areas for this 12-month FTC maternity cover position is to travel to our network of manufacturing sites to deliver management training initiatives, where you will gain an understanding of the business needs, and tailor delivery as required to ensure key learning outcomes are understood and embedded.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for a number of areas, including but not limited to; Management of our Apprenticeship programme and associated activities. Partnering with the business, SME’s and the HR team to facilitate learning and development solutions. Providing high quality, comprehensive and professional L&D advice and support. Continuously improving processes and practices which facilitate and encourage blended and self-directed learning.

Other Key Accountabilities

  • Continue to evolve our L&D provision inline with the organisation's needs.
  • Create and curate content for the virtual and face to face environments that build on the principles of simple, accessible and engaging.
  • Maximise the use of the L&D budget whilst maintaining accurate records of spend at all times
  • Design and implement a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programs, and training materials.
  • Responsible for the LMS, its content, managing content partners relationships and maintaining all processes and administration on the system.
  • Responsible for our apprenticeship scheme, managing and sourcing apprenticeship frameworks and providers, working with the organisation and HR colleagues to utilise apprenticeship levy spend.
  • Work with HR/Managers to support talent management processes to support career development.

Skills

Capability (Qualification, experience & Skills)

  • CIPD level 5 qualification or relevant experience of providing L&D services.
  • Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating training events.
  • Able to travel both nationally and internationally to deliver face to face training is essential.
  • Experience of Apprenticeship management, including onboarding new providers, levy fund utilisation and establishing / monitoring new programmes.
  • Insights Discovery Accreditation desirable or experience of delivering similar programmes would be advantageous.
  • Experience of procuring training and managing external training providers.
  • Broad knowledge of L&D trends and good practice.
  • Experience of developing online content and facilitating virtual classrooms.
  • Experience of running TNA and translating to learning solutions
