Indirect Tax Manager
Hybrid | Mix of Advisory & Compliance
A great opportunity to join a leading UK Group as an Indirect Tax Manager, offering a true 50/50 split between advisory and compliance work across VAT, SDLT and CIS.
The Role
You’ll support the Group Tax Director and Head of Indirect Tax on a wide range of indirect tax matters, including:
- Advising on VAT and SDLT for land transactions (acquisitions and disposals).
- Providing VAT, SDLT and CIS guidance to regional teams.
- Preparing Partial Exemption calculations and annual adjustments.
- Reviewing VAT returns and resolving complex technical issues.
- Overseeing monthly VAT and CIS reconciliations.
- Managing VAT compliance processes and supporting the wider team.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date tax registrations and options to tax.
- Supporting responses to HMRC and external auditors.
- Contributing to SAO processes and helping deliver internal tax training.
- Managing and developing members of the tax team.
About You
You’ll bring strong indirect tax experience, ideally with exposure to land and property, good technical capability, and confidence working with both compliance and advisory matters.
